Ras Al Khaimah show breaks records on New Years Eve

Ras Al Khaimah has broken a world record for the longest straight line of 1,050 LED drones spanning 2km, alongside a chain of aquatic floating fireworks stretching for 5.8km along the coastline between Al Majan Island and Al Hamra Village.

The eight-minute waterfront firework display in the UAE attracted more than 50,000 attendees.

The festivities also included acrobatic pyro planes to create a display inspired by Ras Al Khaimah’s deserts, the sea and mountains, all choreographed to original music.

Raki Phillips, chief executive of the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, said: “Breaking two more Guinness World Records titles set the stage for an unforgettable night of celebration bringing together thousands of visitors and residents.”
