Meta to develop earbuds with cameras

Meta is developing a new earbud design with integrated cameras and AI enhancement.
 

Titled Camerabuds, The Information reported that the new earbud design will feature similar AI capabilities as Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses, including the ability to translate foreign languages and identify surrounding objects.

The design is believed to be a work in progress, with battery life and heat reportedly standing out as the key issues to overcome for Meta engineers.

Meta has confirmed that a new version of its next-generation smart eyewear is in development and due for 2025.
