AVIXA, the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association, has entered into a partnership with Microsoft to deliver Microsoft Teams Rooms training to Provision AVL professionals..

This specialised training, designed to equip participants with the skills needed to deploy, configure, and manage Microsoft Teams Rooms, is now accessible at no cost via AVIXA's training catalogue.

Pam Taggart, AVIXA’s Vice President of Content Creation, highlighted the significance of this initiative: “Employees want a high-level communication and collaboration experience whether they’re working from their home office or in a meeting room at headquarters, and pro AV professionals are pivotal in creating that hybrid workplace of the future. According to AVIXA’s latest research, $58 billion will be spent on conferencing and collaboration solutions globally in 2023, with a projected increase to $68.2 billion by 2028. The addition of Microsoft Teams Rooms Training to our training catalogue represents a tremendous advantage for AV professionals, enabling them to add product-specific education to AVIXA’s foundational training. This training also merges the unique skills of AV and IT, offering professionals from both sectors an opportunity to expand their knowledge and career prospects.”

The training programme offers an in-depth technical understanding, starting with an introduction to Microsoft Teams Rooms. It addresses the crucial aspects of room design and network readiness before diving into the creation of the resource account.

Following the introduction, the training covers the features, functionalities, and optimal use cases of Microsoft Teams Rooms, including configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting. It encompasses monitoring and management of Microsoft Teams Rooms devices through Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro Management, complete with detailed coverage and live training sessions on the service portal.

Participants who successfully complete the Microsoft Teams Rooms Training and pass a 50-question test will qualify for 10 CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) renewal units, furthering their professional development in the AV industry.
